The transformation of a classic ‘Canberra ex-govie’ house into a functional, efficient, warm, and connected home, for a young growing family.

Project Feature: Ferdinand House was featured as a case study in Retuning the Ex-Govie - a design research guide by Flynn Hopkins, produced in collaboration with the Alastair Swayn Foundation, University of Canberra, and ACT Government. The publication explores the value of renovating and adapting Canberra’s ex-govie housing stock as a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to knockdown-rebuilds.
